This document is designed to be a reference for people who are installing linux on the Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 laptop. Writing this document Hereward Cooper were running a Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 [aka Woody] and Sidoine PIERREL were running a Gentoo 1.4rc1. But this HOWTO should be applicable to most distributions that run the standard linux kernel.
